These working groups are concerned with the scientific aspects of weeds and their management. The society is dedicated to providing its members with the most recent information regarding the world and its nations.
- Research and Education Working Group
These working groups have the responsibility of compiling, implementing, and communicating the educational and research programs of the society
- Publications Working Group
One of its most significant activities is to receive scientific-research articles, conduct the judging process, and print the papers that are approved by the judges. The working group is also engaged in preparing newsletters and publishing scientific books on weed science.
- The Statistics and Information Working Group
This working group is responsible for preparing statistics needed for analyzing the state of the agricultural sector. It is also responsible for planning and drafting policies as well as directing educational and research activities.
The working group has evaluated the status of the society's members and has put in place various programs to attract new members.
